  Chemical ResistanceAll Hawkeye Rigid borescopes (tube only, not the eyepiece end) are water tight and are resistant to most hydrocarbons; oils, gasoline, hydraulic fluid, jet fuel, etc.  Exposure to Acids and strong Alkali should be avoided as it will attack the optical window.
